Surgery done
Feb. 20th, 2025 03:27 amIt went well, and I'm home, sore, medicated, surrounded by pillows, and being pampered by my loving family and girlfriend.
They took over 1,000 grams of tissue! That's a lot! My chest feels so much lighter. I'm eager to see the results, but at the same time, I have no desire to undo the compression bra they put on me. It feels like the only thing holding my torso together!
My sleep is all messed up because I have to take pain meds every 3 hours... And because sleeping elevated on my back is not how I normally sleep. Sadly, I won't be back to sleeping on my side for months, most likely, so I'm going to have to get used to sleeping on my back. Ah well -- worth it!!
It's currently 3:30 am and I'm going to try to doze again ....
... while also thinking of 3 more fanfics to write between now and the 25th. I really do want to make that dream of hitting 100 works by that date come true!
