Progress on May the Fourth offering

artemisdartI managed to write over 5400 words for my May the Fourth Be With You exchange fic! It's actually "good enough" to post right now...
... but since I still have another 12 days, I think I'm going to let it simmer and marinate a bit. I'm thinking about splitting off the second half into a second chapter and adding a few more scenes to draw things out, which would allow (1) more smut, (2) more time for the characters and their relationship to develop, and (3) a bigger impact at the end (I hope).
I still need a good title, too.
Still, the itch to post it immediately is real. I'm trying to chip away at that word count goal where I think it would be neat to post 1.5 million words by my 50th birthday in late June! :) After posting these 5400 words, I'll have less than 100,000 words to go, haha!
