artemisdartLast night I stayed up until 2 am writing the first half of my Gingerpilot Christmas exchange piece! My loving family had monopolized all the hours between work and 9 pm, but I had some story that REALLY needed to get out, so sleep had to be sacrificed. I don't make the rules!
I ended up with about 5500 words that I was originally going to put into one chapter, but now that I think about it, it might be better as two shorter ones. Also that way I could dip back in and add a little bit more angst before I publish it, haha. I start feeling guilty when my chapters are more than 5k words.
This is now about half done. I'm hoping to get more of it out tomorrow (Wednesday), but after that it's going to be tough -- I'm going out on a date on Friday, then to a family lefse making gathering on Saturday, so I won't have any more real time to write until Sunday. There are too many gatherings queued up!
Thinking ahead, I'm probably going to sign up for the Rare Femslash Exchange that's coming up! The deadline isn't until February 7, so I'd have time after Five Figure Fanwork Exchange!
