Kinktober 1 Week Performance Comparison

Back with some more stats! Now that Kinktober has been over for 10 days, it's fair to do a comparison over the first week of each fic's life.
In this entry, I will show the stats that each of my 31 Kinktober fics gained during its first 7 days of existence, along with some theories about why some prevailed and others languished.
So without further ado, let's begin.
Here are the sums of the first 7 days of kudos for each fic, in descending order:
As you can see, there's a huge difference between the #1 performer, "Wordplay" with 80 kudos in its first week, and everything else.
I credit its popularity to several things: (1) The trailer for "Thunderbolts" had just dropped, so people might have been searching for Yelena Belova, (2) the fic was relatively tame, with the kink 'only' being phone sex, (3) Yelena and Kate Bishop have an adorable WLW dynamic that everyone loves!
To qualify for the next tranche down, a fic needed to earn between 20 and 79 kudos in its first week. Actually, the ceiling turned out to be 38, which is quite a bit lower than 80 -- less than half! Seven fics qualified in this tranche.
"Okay with It" is a She-Ra and the Princesses of Power fic, also a relatively tame WLW fic. The fandom is large, although quite young.
"The Hothouse" is Prince Namor of Talokan impregnating four captured women from the surface world in order to replenish his royal bloodline. This fic got by far the most numerous and enthusiastic comments of anything I posted during all of Kinktober, and from their ways of writing, I am thinking they were all women in their 30s and 40s (like me!). This makes sense, since that crowd tends to enjoy the Breeding kink more than some others.
"Silver and Gold" is another WLW fic, this one from the cartoon Hazbin Hotel. They're having awesome consensual sex, but one of them has a dark secret from the other! Also relatively tame, kink-wise.
#lifegoals is from Re:Zero, an anime with a much different feel and lore than the previously mentioned cartoons. Again, in my opinion, the kinks on display here are pretty mainstream.
"One Less Thing to Worry About" is from the TV show Dead Boy Detectives, and features humor and consensual platonic pegging.
"Internal Conflicts" is from the anime Bungo Stray Dogs. The pairing, Dazai / Chuuya, has a bunch of devoted fans. The kink is Predator/Prey.
And finally, "Sticks and Stones" is from Naruto, a behemoth of an IP that has earned me far more kudos in the Kakashi/Iruka tag than I ever earned for any other ship. This particular fic is Uchiha Madara/Senju Hashirama, and the kink is Verbal Humiliation.
Then the final, bottom tranche is everything else -- dead fandoms, or niche kinks that no one cares about. Or both!
Honestly, I'm surprised that "X Marks the Spot" didn't get more -- that's from Danmachi, a fairly huge anime. But I guess the kink, bukkake, is too much for AO3.
I'm also surprised that "Flame to a Moth" didn't get more. That involves Carmilla Carmine from Hazbin Hotel torturing Valentino. Everyone hates Valentino! I was really assuming that the vocal 'we hate Valentino' crowd would show up and click kudos on this one -- but apparently they hate him so much they'd rather not read about him at all.
