December progress

artemisdartSo far in December I've written a short chapter for Bloodlines, which brought that work up to 70,000 words exactly, which was kind of nice. I also wrote 2/3 of one of my Christmas fic exchanges, totaling about 7,500 words. Another 4k or so should finish that off nicely. I'm proud of how it's turning out!
This weekend I'll need to spend a night out of town for a holiday get-together with extended family. I'm planning to write my next Bloodlines chapter tomorrow to have it locked and loaded before Saturday morning. If I have time, I'll get to start my second fic exchange work on Friday. I've had that plotted out for over a month and just need to do a wee canon review before I write it.
I have relentlessly prevented myself from signing up for any other fiction exchanges for Christmas. Two is enough this year!
Oh! I also agreed to participate in a Christmas card exchange with some of the other Gingerpilot writers! I had one "assigned" person, but everyone's addresses were visible, so I sent a card to everyone who signed up! I made an extra card for myself and have it at my desk, where I can bask in its cuteness every day. (yes I ordered specialty Gingerpilot merch to create custom Christmas cards. No I do not regret it)
Fan fiction is giving me so many Christmas vibes this year!
