Weekend writing, weekend chapter!

artemisdartI had a hard time getting in and writing this weekend's chapter of Bloodlines. I tried and tried -- I had the whole thing plotted out and I just needed to write it -- but it wasn't happening. Every sentence felt like I was going against the grain of the Universe.
Halfway through my online writing group this morning, I found myself muttering, "If something isn't working, you have to change that thing! Yes you do! Yes you do, don't you? Who's a pretty cat? You are! Yes you are!"
At which point my friend sent me a Zoom message to let me know my mic wasn't muted.
Anyway, I changed the start of the chapter to be from someone else's point of view, and all of a sudden the words just flowed out! I ended up adding a bit more to this chapter than I'd been planning, because I'm so eager to move the plot along. Yay!
