Pre-blog blog entry
Jan. 13th, 1998 03:16 pmIt's bitterly, bitterly, bitterly cold here. It's 22 below, with a wind chill of 37 below. At last winter is showing us that we really do live in Minnesota. Dad always says that this sort of weather "keeps the riffraff out." I don't know about the riffraff, but it's almost keeping me out. Seattle is looking awfully good right about now. It must be down to, what, 40 above there?
My car almost didn't start this morning, and when it did, the radio somehow got fried and now only gets static. I think it just lost its memory, and if I fiddle with it and set the stations again I'll have it back. But perhaps I should refrain: the radio prevents serious thought. That seems to be its purpose.
