I was very industrious today. Made breakfast, washed a week's worth of dishes (we're not the neatest people in the world), shoveled the sidewalks, took out the garbage and recycling, scrubbed down the bathroom, shopped for a few groceries, made ham and potato soup, and went skiing. (Yes, me!)

Afton Alps was thick with cocky teenage boys in groups, the sort I've always hated. I didn't let them bother me too much as I gingerly skiied down "Nancy's Nursery" again and again. I still don't trust the whole process of skiing. I can't put skis on without picturing my legs snapping like toothpicks in a combine.

When I got home, the delicious meal I'd put into the crockpot was uncooked. I had turned the device on before leaving, but neglected to plug it in.
