Things I Like in Stories

A plot of some kind

Angst with a Happy Ending. I am primarily an angst writer! I especially love internalized self-hatred that turns out to be unfounded; internalized homophobia is great for that, but there are many other flavors!

Drama: Negotiations, fights, chases, heists, puzzles, schemes, confrontations, etc.

Or no drama: Character studies, small moments of discovery and self reflection, falling in love (maybe despite not wanting to?)

Sexy stuff - first time, dubious consent, sex pollen, Bad Guys Made Them Do It, war prize, enslaved together, transactional sex turns tender, self discovery through kink, self esteem issues fueling sexual decisions

Dark & kinky - psychological explorations, trauma, people breaking down, people pushing each other to the brink and beyond

Mutual pining, yearning, unrequited crush that turns out to be requited after all

Inexperience - maybe someone isn't that experienced in sexual matters, and someone else is?

Sacrifice - maybe someone is in peril and someone else steps in at great personal risk?

Tending wounds leads to tenderness

Stranded together

For darker, dead dove stories -- which I do enjoy as long as they miss my squicks, listed below -- don't feel like you have to shoehorn in a happy ending. Sometimes ambiguous / bittersweet is as good as we can hope for.

Thoughts on the Ships I Requested

THE BAD GUYS

I make no secret of the fact that I like the villains. They have interesting trauma, the best snappy one-liners, and make horrible decisions. So let's ship some of them!

Armitage Hux/Dopheld Mitaka - I adore these two and would love to see something about them. I prefer either plot, sex, or both... domestic "they're so happy together" fics tend to leave me cold. So if you do want to write about these two, I hope they could either be getting it on or engaging in something high-stakes, or both!

Armitage Hux/Dopheld Mitaka/Ben Solo | Kylo Ren - Kylo Ren is his own trigger warning. What's going on with these three? Does Hux want Kylo to apologize to Mitaka for almost strangling him? Is Mitaka the plaything of these two powerful men who outrank him? Is Mitaka actually the one in charge? Does Ren's obsessive jealousy over Hux lead to him barging in on Hux/Mitaka and then joining in (whether they like it or not)? There are a ton of ways this could go and I'd love to see what you come up with.

Syril Karn/Orson Krennic/Dedra Meero - Ohhhh delicious. What's the situation here -- Krennic making Dedra "give" him favors from Syril in exchange for something? Syril going along with it? Krennic watching the two others? Dedra catching Syril and Krennic together?

I see Krennic as gaaaaaaay, so I'd prefer that he not engage sexually with Dedra, but D/s or pain play is fair game.

THE GOOD GUYS

Davits Draven/Mon Mothma - Mon has lost everything in her life except her determination by the time she defects to Yavin. Maybe General Draven can help her feel welcome there? I do have to wonder what her "arrangement" with Perrin was -- you know the two of them had some sort of arrangement -- and how that might affect her frame of mind. Does she feel guilty for leaving her husband and daughter, probably forever? Is she pent up; does she need to get it out of her system one way or the other? Maybe she needs to feel more in control of her life, and Davits can help by submitting?

Finn/Rey - Finn and Rey were clearly being set up as the main couple during The Force Awakens, and I think it's a screaming shame they backed away from that. Finn should have had Force powers, and these two should have been the end game couple!

Padmé Amidala/Obi-Wan Kenobi - So you're telling me that 16-year-old Padmé was spending time regularly with a young Obi-Wan and did not have a raging crush on him? QUESTIONABLE.

Shmi Skywalker/Beru Whitesun - I'd love to read some mature yuri about these two, especially as they bond over Shmi's son being 'freed' and taken away, while Beru had a boy given to her to raise.

BAD/GOOD

Phasma/Rose Tico - There's not enough PhasmaRose fic out there, in my opinion. Sure, they never met in real life and Phasma is canonically dead, but I don't let that stop me! Scenarios that I enjoy about these two could include: Phasma having power armor and Rose needing to repair it... Phasma being stuck/stranded and Rose helping her... Rose actually earning Phasma's respect and her grudging protection (even though usually, Phasma only helps herself)... Rose helping Phasma escape Starkiller Base somehow and Phasma deciding screw the First Order, she's out... Maybe Phasma going back to her home planet to get a death beetle to assassinate Brendol Hux, and running into Rose instead... Lots of possibilities!

Ezra Bridger/Shin Hati/Sabine Wren - I loved these three in Season 1 of Ahsoka. Personally, I felt like Shin Hati is the necessary ingredient for Ezra and Sabine to spark off each other, so I see her as a chaotic element that can get all three of them more in sync -- after some drama and unwise kissing, of course! :)

Leia Organa/Wilhuff Tarkin - When I saw this predatory old cadaver of a man menacing a youthful, bouncy, white-robed goddess like Leia, it changed something in my brain chemistry forever. Look, I'm not proud of it, but the discrepancy between them physically is so arresting, and it makes interesting things twist around in my brain. Especially when you bring power, pain, class differences, and/or the threat of blowing up Alderaan into it -- what could Tarkin get Leia to do? Alderaan may have given up all its weapons, but has Leia?
