Hux-change ponderings

artemisdartOkay, so I have a good four chapters of a story for the Holiday Huxchange all written... but the story I have in mind will need another three or so. Maybe more. And it's already Thursday... and I *do* need to sleep between now and the due date!
So I was thinking of deleting what I've already posted, to post later, outside of a challenge. Knowing me, it could be the seed of another 100K story, haha. And I was thinking of replacing it with something else -- something much shorter. I got up early this morning and wrote 1200 words of that.
But now, as I think of that new story, I'm building it out so it's just as long as the first one!
I'm honestly torn. Do I need to just write "a scene" with nothing around it? The minimum word count is only 2K, so if I just wrote "a scene" and nothing else, that would be fine...
... but what do I *want* to do?
I need to figure this whole thing out pretty quickly. Eeek!
