Angsty chapter

artemisdartThis morning I posted a sweet, happy, hopeful chapter of "Three and a Half Steps" that took a sudden turn at the end into a whole new angsty plot point that's opening up a world of pain for our leads.
In response, my regular commenters have all flocked to leave their two cents, including things like "NO NO JUST LET THEM BE HAPPY :(" and "FUCKING HELL. I did NOT see that coming. No. Nope. I am shocked and afraid and oh damn. I know you said it was going to get worse before it got better but HELLS DUDE?! 😠Who would do this to lovely Poe?! And what is Poe going to do?! And how am I supposed to cope? 😂 Aughhhhhh!"
On the one hand, I do feel guilty. But on the other hand, it's sweet bliss to drag my readers through the angst fields so we can come out together on the other side with a true happy ending in place. :D That will take about six more weeks.
