Dear fellow creator,

This is my first time hearing of or participating in this exchange, and I'm excited! Let's make femslash less rare!

Here are some thoughts on the fandoms and pairings that made my list.

Hazbin Hotel
Both Lute/Vaggie and Lute/Emily have some great opposing energy in them. For these, I'd be interested in them butting heads, fighting, or being at odds somehow, and then sex can happen anyway? I'm not interested in a Happily Ever After They Are In Love! (because I just don't see Lute doing that! at least... not with Emily or Vaggie!)

Into the Woods
Baker's Wife/Cinderella
Lots of potential for conflict or misunderstandings or just plain old jealousy here -- class differences, the relationship of each to the Baker, the relationship of each to the Prince! Oooh, so much juiciness there.

Original Work
I chose a series of ships with power imbalances of various sorts, because I love the tension that brings to the story.

RWBY
I chose anything with Cinder in it, because Cinder is rad as hell. I also chose Weiss/Emerald, because I think that could be an interesting pairing, considering they really do come from two totally different worlds. What if Emerald uses her illusion powers on the insanely privileged and wealthy Schnee heiress? What if Weiss isn't an heiress anymore and Emerald is actually on top? This could go all sorts of directions.

Agents of Shield
Daisy/Ruby -- similar in theme to many of the pairings above, I see these two characters as so fundamentally different that I struggle to understand how they could learn to relate to each other.

Dungeons & Dragons - Honor Among Thieves
Doric/Sofina - The pure, natural, wholesome tiefling druid, and the evil undead human wizard -- so different! Does one of them have the other at her mercy? Do they have to work together? Do they hate every minute of it? Or maybe... not every minute?
Holga/Sofina - Similar, only with Holga's earthy, common-sense nature. Does Sofina squick her out? Does Holga, in turn, mystify the dark magic user? Most importantly, how does Sofina feel about potatoes? :)

Things I Like In Stories
Plot!
Angst!
Banter, wordplay, quips, one-liners, humor. Pathos, poetry, earnestness. Misunderstandings! Mysteries, fights, chases, mistaken identity, heists, duels, jousts -- fun stuff like that.
Maybe they are in a predicament! Maybe someone has been captured / imprisoned / about to be executed or trafficked? Maybe they both have been and have to stick together in a shitty situation?
Smutty sex, always and forever! Sex pollen, "fuck or die," stuff like that is always welcome. I'm especially down with "bad guys made them do it," voyeurism, exhibitionism, and suchlike things.
I am fine with noncon, as long as both people are enjoying it at some point. I don't want an actual brutal rape that's 100% unwanted. But I'm fine with dubious consent due to identity issues, intoxication, sex pollen, being under duress, consenting because they think they "have to" for some plot reason... stuff like that... and then enjoying it, even if only physically.
I also have a huge soft spot for pining, yearning, and longing, especially Pining While Fucking!
Internalized "I'm not good enough" thoughts are always nice to dial up our POV character's internal angst
Internalized homophobia, racism, etc. is fine with me as long as the character achieves enough personal growth by the end of the story to put that behind them and Learn How To Trust Again (or for the first time)
Pain! This can be such an interesting plot device. People can struggle with their pain, try to overcome it, lean into it, use it as a weapon - so many things to do with pain.

For this exchange especially, I don't need Happily Ever After. I'd be fine with just hawt secks while they're in a situation, and then they'll go their separate ways after it resolves. Although, if you want to write a Happily Ever After, be my guest -- I love those, too!

Do Not Want List

Porn Without Plot. There's gotta be at least a fig leaf of plot there to keep things interesting!
Unhappy Endings. Either a happy ending, or an open / ambiguous ending in which they'll go their separate ways after all the smut
Major Character Death between the people in the ship (killing off side characters or villains is fine)
Trans headcanons, gender swapping, gender changing, cross dressing, bimboification
Age regression, age play, "littles," Daddy or Mommy talk
Stuffing or feeding kink / making your partner fat on purpose. Starving / making your partner thin on purpose.
Poop, children, animals, vomit, eyeball trauma, amputations / body modification / serious injuries happening in the story. (I'm fine with injuries or body mods that happened before the story began.)
Pet play, pony play, puppy play, etc.
Fantastical elements that are not in the original, such as changing into animals.
A/B/O and features from A/B/O such as mpreg, knotting, scenting, marking, heats, and ruts.
Pregnancy / miscarriages happening in the story, childbirth, kidfics.
Hanahaki Disease
"Lightweight" or "trivial" AUs like coffee shop AU, flower shop AU, tattoo artist AU, etc. If you want to do an AU, I think that's fine, but I'd rather it stay closer to canon than those trendy AUs that were everywhere for awhile.
