"Wasted" day

I basically wasted the entire day (so far) doing things like having breakfast at a restaurant, walking in a park, going grocery shopping for the week ahead, going to my sauna and cold plunge club, playing board games online with friends, and napping. I don't really have any regrets about any of that, because it was all great, but I have not gotten ANYTHING done in my writing life...
... but luckily, I have tomorrow off to catch up!
I did have a few Writing Thoughts™ during all of these other activities:
1) I think I'm going to abandon the 1300 words of Chapter 2 of Unconventional Courtship and redo it in a different location, with more action / dialogue instead of just a character thinking for 1300 words. He's a think-y guy, but it's more fun to watch people doing and saying things. Plus, setting the scene in his apartment can establish that he's lonely and unhappy about it, and then I can end the chapter in the apartment of the other lead, which will establish that he's much more plugged in to a community, but also unhappy. This will help the reader see how their lives can fit together better.
2) I was going to keep my Hurt/Comfort fic all in Character 1's POV, but now I think I'm going to make Chapter 2 in Character 2's POV.
3) Also, I picked the song for Chapter 2. (This property cares a lot about music.)
-- Edit -- and now I need to go watch "Fountain of Youth" with my husband -- a movie I suggested because Domhnall Gleeson is in it, lol! :)
